“Open innovation in a network-based economy”By KarinSund - 13 May 2019
How do you create a new model for innovation? To be sustainable in a fast changing world, companies and industries need to find new ways to share and access skills, knowledge and expertise. Researchers at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg have studied and now published a book about the BioVentureHub; an initiative by AstraZeneca to support the life science industry by offering small drug, device, diagnostic and digital health companies the opportunity to co-locate with AstraZeneca at it’s R&D site in Gothenburg and to gain access to world-class, life science infrastructure and expertise in areas such as clinical studies, regulatory affairs and commercialization.
The case study on the BioVentureHub highlights the value of initiatives where large, established companies interact openly with innovative growth companies, venture capital investors and public authorities to stimulate collaborative innovation.
