Vinnova and Region Västra Götaland (VGR) announce today that they will continue to finance and invest in the AstraZeneca BioVentureHub. The BioVentureHub is a unique innovation hub for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in life science.
We will now receive continued public financing of more than SEK 30 million over the next five-year period. Vinnova will support with more than SEK 20 million and VGR with SEK 10 million.
“We are grateful for the continued support from Vinnova and VGR. We are proud of what we have achieved together over the first five years. Now we are looking to the future to see how the BioVentureHub can facilitate pioneering digital health solutions that benefit patients,” says Magnus Björsne, CEO of AstraZeneca BioVentureHub.
A smiling Minister for Business, Industry and Innovation, Ibrahim Baylan, announced the continued Swedish governmental funding in an article in Dagens Nyheter, a major Swedish national daily newspaper.
